Applesauce Cake (eggless)
2 C Sugar
2 1/2 c Applesauce
1 tsp Ground Cloves
3 tsp Baking Soda
1 C Butter
4 C Flour
1 tsp Cinnamon
2 C raisins

Add chopped nuts if desired. Bake at 350F  for 30 to 40 minutes.
Dated November 5, 1937, just 5 years after my mom was born.

Simple Decoration to make

Find some pine cones

soak in water long enough for them to close up.

spread Glue over Pine cone the sprinkle Glitter over the whole cone, allow to dry

Using Red or Green Ribbon Glue one end to pine cones, tie together in threes (for good luck) and cover knot with a large bow from the same ribbon. Hang from door knob or near the doorway.
